Frequently Asked Questions
How do I book you?
Please contact me via the contact form, or email me georgiahornphotography@gmail.com. When enquiring please provide me with as much information as possible, including the date (if you're enquiring for a wedding), that way I can let you know if I am available or not.
What qualifications do you have?
I have a BA (Hons) degree in Photography, which I received at Sheffield Hallam University. 2014-2017.
What if I am camera shy?
This is absolutely fine, I totally understand. My style is very natural, I will always talk to my clients before we start shooting, to make them relaxed. I want people to be themselves in front of the camera so I will continue to provide a bit of banter/conversation so that their personality shines through the images. I will also prompt you, so you're not just awkwardly standing there.
Do you charge to travel?
If I am outside the 50-mile radius of South Yorkshire, then charges may apply. This is all specified in my contract agreement. It is usually around 0.45p per mile. Alternatively, if I have to travel a considerable amount, and hotel accommodation is required, then this can either be sorted out by yourself, or I can invoice you separately for that.
Do I have to pay a deposit?
For all weddings and photoshoots, I do take 25% booking deposit which is non-refundable. I reserve that date just for you - which means I turn away other potential bookings. The deposit helps secure my time, covers admin work, and ensures I can fully commit to making your experience amazing. I totally understand that life happens, and plans can change, but this policy helps protect my small business while allowing me to provide the best service to all my clients. If you ever have any concerns, just drop me a message - I’m always happy to chat! 😊
Do you offer consultations?
100% yes! I do all my consultation calls via Google Meet. It’s a great way for us to have a quick chat, get to know each other, and make sure we’re the right fit. I’ll walk you through my process, set expectations, and give you a chance to ask any questions you have. Super relaxed, no pressure - just a friendly chat before we get the ball rolling.
Who owns the rights to the photographs?
I will own the copyright, but you do have the right to print your own images. All my photographs should not be entered into competitions unless it is by me. Also should not be sold unless it is by me.
Do we need to feed you at our wedding?
Yes, please! This is something outlined in my contract - if I’m working 5 hours or more, I kindly ask for a hot meal to be provided. Why? Because photographing a wedding or event is physically demanding, and I’m constantly on my feet, capturing every moment. A proper meal helps keep my energy up so I can continue delivering my best work throughout the day. It doesn’t have to be the same meal as your guests (though that’s always lovely!), just something warm and filling to keep me going. I truly appreciate your understanding - it makes a big difference in ensuring I can give you my all! 😊 Please just double-check with me for dietary requirements.
How far in advance do we need to book you?
As soon as possible! My availability is limited since I take bookings years in advance, and my diary is currently open for 2025-2027. If you're considering booking, please don’t wait too long - I’d hate for you to miss out! For weddings, the planning process can take months, so the sooner we get the ball rolling, the better.
How do we receive our photos?
You'll receive your photos via a password-protected online gallery, where you can download all images in high resolution. You can also order prints directly through the gallery. Just be sure to save your images somewhere safe, as I can’t guarantee long-term storage - the gallery is meant for temporary access. That said, I’ll always give you a heads-up if your gallery is set to expire!
Are you insured?
Yes I am fully insured, and so is my equipment, I also have public liability insurance.
Are you a sole trader?
Yes I am registered under HMRC as a sole trader.
